As we course through the upcoming months I encourage you to welcome the challenges you will face. Brave all things new and unknown, know that adversity is just a seed for growth, but most importantly be grateful. My year started out with challenges and in a moment of being unsure of how to handle how I was feeling about those challenges I wrote the following:
In the Light of Day
In the dark of night, beyond the shadows of all we cannot see, lives our greatest fear. We call it the UNKNOWN. We are afraid because it is intangible; it has no rhyme or rationale. We cannot see it, hear it or communicate with it. Our fear is paralyzing, it is suffocating. Fear robs our bodies, minds and spirits. It renders our very being into hopelessness.
But then, there is the light of day, where, if we choose to look, we can see all things. It is a gift we are given every day to remind us that we will come out of the darkness. To confirm that in the light there is truth and in truth there is no fear. Without fear we can move freely, we can breathe and we can wear hope as a protective shield.
Whenever you are in the dark of night, feel your way as far as you can, then call on the Creator to give you peace to rest. When you rise to the light of the day you will be stronger, more at peace, and clear of vision, and you will know He has been with you.
Thank him and be ever grateful for each day.
I am grateful to see the dawn of each day as it reminds me that I have an opportunity to create change, to right wrongs and to be better and stronger than I was the day before. I hope that this will help you through whatever challenges and adversity you may face this year.
Have a great week, and remember…
Always do you,
