Hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the upcoming holiday season.
Our first stop on the holiday train is Thanksgiving, an American tradition. I know that we all have different ideas of the perfect Thanksgiving Day – family, food, football and maybe just having some time off from our regular routine. We learn in school that Thanksgiving began as a celebration for the Pilgrims and their first harvest in 1621. They invited Native Americans to join them and celebrated for three days. Since that time many other traditions have been added to what we now know as Thanksgiving Day. We know now that the day means more than that.
I’d like to know what Thanksgiving means to you. For me, it is exactly what it says; Thanksgiving or the day of giving thanks. I am thankful and grateful every day of the year, but I must admit that on this day, that my family is together, I think about all that has been given to me and done for me. I take a moment and really appreciate the people in my life, the things that I have and the lessons I have learned. It is all of these things that make me who I am and make me feel beautiful. So I give thanks.
I want you to take a moment and consider the things that you are grateful for and give thanks. Try not to think about the things that were bought for you, but the people who gave you something – inspiration, encouragement, a listening ear, or a lesson. Then I want you to say “thank you” to them. The more grateful we are for what we have been given, and the more we give, the more we will receive.
I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, and I thank you for being my inspiration and a BRimi supporter.
Have a fantastic week, and remember…..
Always do you,
