Here we are at another stop on our journey and I’d like this to be a rest stop moment. This week I
want to know - what inspires you? Who or what makes you feel good about yourself and encourages you to be more and do more than you think you can? Take a moment to think about it.
Inspiration can come from anywhere. It can come from something big like a speech given by President Obama or something small like seeing a color that makes you feel like painting a picture. You can be inspired by something that makes your day better or something that changes your life.
I am inspired by many things all the time, but my greatest inspiration comes from two things. First, I am always inspired by people - whether it is someone I know, just met or even see on television. When I see the good in people and the good things they do for others I am inspired to be a better, kinder, more giving person. The second thing is butterflies – something that seems so small in the world. I’m inspired by them
because I once heard somewhere that butterflies are God’s proof of second chances. Think about it, they live the life of a caterpillar, create a cocoon and emerge a beautiful butterfly. It reminds me that no
matter what happens in life, what mistakes we have made we can have another chance. If we take a moment to look inside ourselves and work at being better (like the caterpillar in the cocoon) we can emerge from it better, stronger and more beautiful than ever – just as the butterfly.
Please take some time to think about what inspires you and leave me a comment. I hope that we can
inspire each other.
Have an inspiring week, and remember…
Always do you,
