I hope that you are having a great start to the week.
Inside out. When we hear this term we usually think of clothing or a situation gone crazy. How many times have you thought of yourself as being inside out? By that I mean, how often have you been aware of what you are feeling on the inside and how it shows up on the outside?
It’s easy to see that when you are happy inside, that you are smiling and want to share your feelings with others on the outside. The same goes for being angry inside; on the outside you may treat others as if you are angry with them. But what about those times when you are unaware or unsure of what is going on inside? Do you know that you are still showing what’s going on inside of you on the outside? When we are feeling anxious, fearful or insecure, we have a tendency to blame others for our behavior or what’s “wrong” with us. We may say things about them or to them that really are a reflection of what we are dealing with and who we feel we are in that moment. We are human and emotional beings, but we are also responsible and accountable for our actions.
The next time you become or are made aware of a certain behavior, take a moment to assess what is going on inside. Work your way through the feelings – take a walk, breathe deeply, analyze the situation and come to terms with what you can do about it. Take charge of yourself and DECIDE to make a positive change. Create peace and tranquility within so that this is what you give without.
Please comment and tell me about an inside out experience you’ve had and what you or someone else gained from it. I can’t wait to hear from you, and remember……
Always do you,
